‘THE EVENING REDNESS IN THE SOUTH’ is an entirely dialogue-free dramatic feature film, a visual tone poem following several workers on a building site as their daily work and family lives becomes infused with their deepest memories, dreams, anxieties and desires. It was filmed in Co.Cork.

Colin Hickey is a writer, director, editor & cinematographer based in County Cork, Ireland.
He studied at the London Film Academy where he graduated with a diploma in 2004.
Colin spent two years living in Colombia, South America where he wrote and directed ‘El Constructor’ (The Builder) which was chosen by legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog as part of his ‘Rogue Film Seminar in 2012.
His first feature film, ‘The Evening Redness in the South’, premiered at the Cork Film Festival in 2019. Since then the film has screened all around the world and has picked up over 20 international awards.
